UEA's TEFL Certificate Curriculum

 

Our Curriculum was developed by teacher Matt Carter with assistance and advice from ILTAH panel members as well as input from English conversation school owners in 6 countries.  The material in this course conforms to internationally recognized standards and exceeds them in most cases making our TEFL Certificate universally accepted at conversation schools around the world.

 

Course hours breakdown as follows: 72 hours of in classroom instruction.  6 Hours of ESL observation and 6 hours of real teaching.  Students will be required to do extensive reading (16 hours) as well as weekly projects (20 hours) in TEFL Lab for a total of 120 hours of TEFL training.

This course is an intensive TEFL Course with homework assignments, reading requirements and projects.   To receive TEFL Certification students are required to attend all classes, complete all Observation & Teaching time and complete all projects.

 

Upon completion of all requirements students will receive:

 Official UEA TEFL Certificate (Stamped and Numbered)

 An Explanation Letter of Training Received

 Up to 3 hours of Job Placement assistance

 

Course Requirements:

  1) Students should be Native English Speakers

  2) Students seeking Employment overseas must have a 4 year degree from

      an accredited University in any subject. (Certain exceptions exist)

  3) To complete some homework assignments access to the internet will be assumed.
