For the experienced traveller who would prefer a more free experience we have partnered with the local Youth Hostel to offer a fun and affordable package tour that allows you to choose the best of our program while still maintaing the freedom to move about as you like.
Enjoy UEA's unique English class in the morning, choose only the activities you want to do or none at all and stay at the Koa Wood Hale Youth Hostel located just 2 minutes by foot from the school. Nights are free to eat and explore as you like. Koa Wood Hale is within walking distance to all of downtown Kona's shopping, dining and ocean activities.
We rotate Plan A and Plan B each week throughout the year。 Please check the calendar to make sure the plan you want is available during your visit. A Plan B Plan Calendar

Policies
Each week we rotate A Plan and B Plan. One week students should make sure their desired schedule is available during their travel dates. 2 Week Students are guaranteed both A and B plan. (2 week plan Sat & Sun are Free Days)
Your English Level does not matter. Our class teaches the same information to all levels. Some basic conversational ability is helpful but not required.
We will notify you by email of your Host Families information.
Airfare is not included. Please forward your flight information to us as soon as it is decided.
Schedules are subject to change due to weather, overbookings, and a variety of other factors. Although not usual activities may be substituted for different activities when scheduling is impossible.
Space for each week is limited to 6 participants so early reservations are advisable. If you must cancel your plans please advise us as soon as you can. Cancellation made before 2 weeks of arrival are at no charge. Confirmed reservations cancelled between 3-14 days prior to arrival are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled within 3 days of arrival date are subject to 100% charge. After arrival no refunds are possible.
Payment is made at Orientation in Hawaii in Cash or Traveller's Check. Credit Card may be required to secure your reservation.
Koa Wood Hale is a clean and friendly Youth Hostel located conveniently within walking distance to all of downtown Kailua-Kona's best. Laundry, rental bicycles, WIFI, BBQ area, friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere are just a few of the many positive features of this budget friendly hostel.
Both Private and shared rooms are available. We have created the following packages to assist you in your planning. If none of the packages below suit your needs you can also choose to stay at this hostel through our custom program
Package 3 & 4 allow you more free time. Price includes Monday and Wednesday activities and your choice of 1 of any other days activities for that week. On days when activities are not schedule you have free time to explore as you like.
