Since 2001 Universal English Academy has served the Kona and International community through innovative and results driven programs designed to enhance the greater life experience of our students and clients.

TEFL Certification Course in Kona Hawaii
Earn your TEFL Certificate in our 120 hour training course and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime as we help you to find your first overseas job assignment. Our TEFL Certificate program adheres to all internationally recognized standards and includes complete instruction in the UEA method.
Kona Community ESL Classes
All nationalities and all levels are invited to join our Kona community ESL classes. Prices are very reasonable (our community service) and class sizes are limited. If you live in Kona and have trouble communicating in English we are here for you.
Communication Classes (For Native Speakers)
Even native speakers sometimes need a hand in developing their speaking and communicative skills. UEA offers 2 innovative programs designed for business men and women (or anyone) who need the confidence, composure and creativity to excel in their communication skills.
UEA's Design Studio
Serving West Hawaii since 2001, we offer a variety of web and promotional material related services including website design, English to Japanese & Korean translation, copywriting, editing, content creation, theme development, branding, speech writing and review.
Hawaii Homestay & Vacation-Study Programs
For international students we offer an amazing vacation study program called Culture, Nature, Communication.(CNC) Participants homestay with a family here in Kona, learn our ESL method each morning and then join a variety of powerful activities.
